Title: Butterfly Walk at Upper Seletar Reservoir with Simon Chan
Date: Sun 14 Sept 2008
Start Time: 09.30am
Start Location: Upper Seletar Reservoir Park Viewing Tower
Leader: Simon Chan

We will be taking a leisurely stroll around Upper Seletar Reservoir park, which is a haunt for Long-tailed Macaques. Butterflies like the Great Mormon, Malay Lacewing, Commander, Common Mormon, Cruiser and many more forest denizens abound. We hope to see the rare Dark Blue Jungle Glory, the seasonal Plain Lacewing and the once-in-a-lifetime encounter, the Lesser Wavy Maplet. As recent as November 2007, the Green Oak Blue made a stunning appearance after being missing for a decade. Meet at the reservoir’s viewing tower at 9.30 am. Registration not needed. Contact Simon at HP: 9748-5465 if you have any queries.
