We know the vital role its wildlife played in Darwin’s development of his theories of natural selection and speciation. In April 2008, Lesley Cartwright-Taylor visited this stunning archipelago as part of her trip to South America that included the montane cloud forests, the lowland rain forests and a sailing trip down the Amazon.
