In September 2004, our very first bird census covering the autumn migration period unveiled 8,035 birds from 135 species at 25 sites. Last year, we had 8,486 birds from 145 species at 26 sites. Will we see a decline or upswing in 2012? Join us to help determine the trends affecting our wild birds. All birdwatchers are welcome. The census will start at 7.30am and end around 10.30am.
We will have a post-census dinner the same evening at 7pm. We would like to invite all census volunteers to join us at the dinner as this is an informal get-together to thank everyone who has helped in our various counts. More details on the dinner will be announced in due course on this website. Open to the public.
