Who can become members:
Anyone can join the Society. Our members come from all walks of life and different age groups. They are people who want to come outdoors, with interests in observing and protecting the wide diversity of flora, fauna and habitats still existing in highly-urbanised Singapore.

Membership categories:

  1. Ordinary Membership is open to any person aged 18 years and above.
    Subscription is $40.
  2. Family Membership is open to the spouse and/or children (under 18 years of age) of an Ordinary or Life Member. When a child reaches 18 years of age, he or she will have to join as an Ordinary Member in order to continue being a member.
    Subscription is $75.
  3. Junior Membership is open to any person below the age of 18 years.
    Subscription is $18.
  4. Student membership is open to full-time students between 18 & 35 years old.
    Subscription is $18.
  5. Affiliate Membership is open to schools, polytechnics, colleges, universities, and other institutions of learning and other lawfully constituted societies, clubs, bodies, associations or organisations.
    Subscription is $200.
  6. Life Membership is open to any person who has been an Ordinary Member for no less than 10 years of continuous and uninterrupted membership.
  7. Corporate Membership is open to lawfully constituted corporations.
    Subscription is $4000 ($200 + $3800 annual donation).
  8. Sustaining Donors include individuals, sole proprietorships, firms, corporations, institutions, societies or lawfully constituted bodies who make an annual gift to the Society of not less than $10,000 a year, and pledge to donate such sum for at least 3 years consecutively.

NB: All applications are subject to approval by the Executive Committee of the Society.
