Street names have many different origins. Some are named after people, others follow a certain numerical order, yet others might refer to the geography and history of colonial powers. Some neighbourhood streets follow a particular theme, including - and this may be a surprise to some - names of trees. In this virtual tour led by NSS President, Dr Shawn Lum, we'll get acquainted with a number of trees, together with the streets that bear their names. We might even branch out to learn a little bit about the natural history, ethnobotany, and conservation of some of these trees.
