Sungei
Pang Sua is a river that eventually reaches the Kranji mudflats which
forms part of an Important Bird and Biodiversity Area (IBA site) where
hundreds of migrant birds find nourishment when they arrive to escape
the winter. However, Sungei Pang Sua has become quite polluted with
litter over time. Litter here then finds its way to the mudflats
polluting the habitat necessary for these birds and other wildlife to
thrive. It is therefore crucial to maintain the health of this waterway
so as not to affect the ecosystem and its biodiversity downstream.
