What goes into a name? All over the world, many places are named after natural features. plants and animals. To what extent is this true for Singapore, an island once completely covered in forests and mangroves, but which retains less than 1% of that original forest cover. Join Dr. Shawn Lum, President of the Nature Society (Singapore), as he takes us on a virtual tour around the island to visit places that have some link to our natural heritage, be it vegetable, animal or mineral. You might be surprised at the origins of some of our place names.
