SUMMARY:Birdwatching at Kranji Marshes
DESCRIPTION:Open to the Public \nJoin experienced guides from NSS Bird Group in exploring the core area of Kranji Marshes Nature Park.  The paths and hides here offer excellent views across the freshwater marshes.  Birding highlights include residents such as the Red-wattled Lapwing\, Changeable Hawk Eagle and Gray-headed Fish Eagle and winter visitors such as the Common and Black-capped Kingfisher.  Meeting time is at 7.30 am at Sungei Buloh Wetland Centre Visitor Centre and a hired bus will ferry the group to the start of the walk at Turut Track.  This is a 3-hour walk excluding travel time to and from Turut Track. \nThe walk is free but participants will need to cover transport cost at $15 per person. \nMaximum number of participants:  strictly 21 pax (due to seating capacity of the bus). \nClosing date for registration: 7 Feb 2025 \nRegistration \nTo attend\, please register at: https://tinyurl.com/NSSBGbirdwalk2 \nNote: \n– Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. \n– Registration will close once the maximum number of participants is reached\, or on closing date. \n– Participating non-members may sign up for NSS membership during or after the walk. \n– Only confirmed participants will be contacted by email\, after the closing date\, with details on the meeting time and place. \nEnquiries \nFor enquiries\, please contact Lee Ee Ling at ellee1584@gmail.com.
