SUMMARY:Birdwatching at Thomson Nature Park
DESCRIPTION:Members Only \nJoin Veronica Foo\, an experienced birder from the NSS Bird Group\, for a morning bird walk at Thomson Nature Park.  This buffer park located in the east of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve\, was a former Hainan village that is rich in cultural heritage.  It is a key conservation site for the critically endangered Raffles’ Banded Langur and also home to some of our forest bird species such as the Red-crowned Barbet\, Rufous-tailed Tailorbird\, Orange-bellied Flowerpecker and Little Spiderhunter.  Duration of the walk is 3 hours from 7.30 am till 10.30 am. \nTrip Leader: Ms Veronica Foo\, Bird Group Chairperson \nTime: 7.30am – 10.30am \nVenue: Thomson Nature Park \nMaximum number of participants:  20 pax \nRegistration \nTo attend\, please register at: https://tinyurl.com/NSSBGbirdwalk3 \nNote: \n– Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. \n– Registration will close once the maximum number of participants is reached\, or on closing date. \n– Participating non-members may sign up for NSS membership during or after the walk. \n– Only confirmed participants will be contacted by email\, after the closing date\, with details on the meeting time and place. \nClosing date for registration:  12 Feb 2025 \nEnquiries \nFor enquiries\, please contact Lee Ee Ling at ellee1584@gmail.com.
