Fun with Birding @ Halus, 11 Dec 11

Postby lenachow » Sun Dec 11, 2011 11:27 am

We had a good hour plus this morning before the rain. About a dozen species seen from the bridge alone, despite the overcast skies, including a Common Kingfisher and a few Black Bazas. The endangered Little Grebes provided those who lingered at the end of the walk with a good (albeit distant) view.

See album here :

Bird list (pls add on anything I may have missed):
- Grey Heron
- Striated Heron

- White-bellied Sea Eagles
- House Crows
- White-breasted Waterhen
- Swiftlet spp.
- White-vented Mynas
- Asian Koel (heard only)
- Scaly-breasted Munias
- Yellow Bittern
- Brahminy Kite
- Black-naped Orioles
- Little Grebes

Cheers,
Lena
