Bulbophyllum vaginatum flowering at BBC

Postby angieng » Mon Aug 27, 2012 4:23 pm

Our Vulnerable native Bulbophyllum vaginatum flowering in BBC,
on the fallen Rain Tree branch just be the road with the first cluster of graves on the right.
The star-burst flowers were a deep cream colour!

I couldn't see whether the plants up the trees were in bloom too ( needed a bino! )
Havent noticed any pigeon orchids at BBC!
Cheers!

This is a lovely orchid. I was at SBG last week and I did not see any flowers on those growing on the tree opposite the old Raffles Hall.
