Phalanx feeding

Postby lenachow » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:06 am

Came across this hair-raising sight of a phalanx of caterpillars making their way systematically across the leaf surface...

Does anyone know whose voracious babies these are?

It's an unusual way of feeding as caterpillars usually devour leaves whole.

Cheers,
Lena

I have seen this before. They are feeding on L indica, I think.
