Got this from the new road which is still not fully repaired. Appreciate your help in
ID ing this butterfly ... :salam: :salam: :salam:

KC,
Most likely male Appias lyncida. A picture of the underside will help confirm the id.

No need for that...It is definitely an Appias lyncida (Chocolate Albatross).....

This butterfly must be a schizo, as the top side is so different from the underside, wonder why this is so ??? to confuse potential predators ???

I did not cheat...I sent the mail before I got this from wikipedia..... :yes:

KC, the shot seems to have a strong blue overcast, possible over saturation or maybe need to move the white balance to slightly warmer tone.
Here's a shot taken at Fraser of the underside.
