Happen to know the name of this plant used to lower blood sugar level ? :pdr:

Hi Steven,

Picture does'nt show much details. Size of leaves; are they a bit coarse and slightly hairy?
Check if your plant is the "Black-faced General" or Strobilanthes crispa.

Let me check with my brother's neighbour's place, dont think leaves were hairy...will get back to you all, should be of interest to those with sugar level controls...

Here are better pictures taken, can you ID ?
The leaves are not hairy, slighty coarse, about up to 6 inches length.

Sorry folks there were two plants, the attached (leaves less elliptical) said to be for diabetes. the earlier one posted for UTI...anyone know the id for both ?

The plant in your last your last pic looks like black face general. The other one sen before but don't know the name.

Ok will try to get a better pix and check if the flowers are yellow in the Black Face General to confirm.

Steven, your plants are the Strobilanthes crispa (Black Face General) and Vernonia amygdalinia (African Plant). Both are very popular among the locals and widely grown in herbal community gardens.
