Which Deudorix is this ?

Saw this Lycaenid today in Central Catchments. It looks like D. epijarbus but is slightly bigger. Unfortunately we did not get the see the upperside.

Definrtely the Deudorix epijarbas cinnabarus (Cornelian). See photo below.

This has finally been id by Dr Seow as Deudorix staudingeri.
- Underside white striae poor, sullied & fading, the dark striae more prominent than in epijarbas.

This species was listed in The Butterflies of the Malay Peninsula (BMP) as recorded in Singapore but has not been sighted by any one until this photo record. :thumbsup:
