Coastal Clean Up @ Pulau Ubin

As part of the Restore Ubin Mangroves (R.U.M.) initiative, our Marine Conservation Group is organising coastal clean ups at the mouth of Sungei Durian on Pulau Ubin to remove drift nets and other marine debris. The aim is to clear the shoreline of drift nets which impede the growth of mangrove trees by strangling the roots preventing them from growing properly as well as acts as death traps for a variety of wildlife from birds to marine animals.
