SWWD Dragonfly Walk at Lorong Halus Wetland

March 8 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Open to the Public
World Water Day is held on 22 March every year since 1993, to celebrate freshwater and to raise awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water.

Lorong Halus Wetlands, located along the eastern bank of Serangoon Reservoir, collects and treats water passing through the former landfill, before it flows into the reservoir, thus safeguarding the quality of water in the reservoir.

Join Robin Ngiam and Lena Chow to explore the water filtration ponds at the Lorong Halus Wetlands and admire various dragonfly species e.g. Dancing Dropwings, Common Scarlets, Blue Perchers, Variegated Green Skimmers, which are regularly found at this unique place.

Participants are to be well on the day of the activity and must wear a mask if they are coughing or sneezing. NSS reserves the right to turn away participants who are unwell on the day.

This walk is conducted in conjunction with PUB’s celebrations for Singapore World Water Day in March 2025.
