Eco-Journey (Sepetang)

About Eco-journey (Sepetang)

In 2026, NSS is launching Eco-Journeys to Kuala Sepetang (West Malaysia) for both the public and educators. Each trip is tailored to its audience and includes:

  • Visits and guided walks to nature areas
  • Interactions with local conservation champions
  • Boat rides to see mangroves and fireflies

  • Chanced wildlife encounters
  • Simple facilitated workshops and reflections

By harnessing NSS’ partnerships with regional communities and NGOs, Eco-Journeys offer a thoughtful and transformative experience that deepens environmental understanding, fosters meaningful connections, and strengthens participants’ sense of stewardship towards our natural environment.

Joint Programme by Nature Society Singapore & UN Global Compact Network Singapore

United Nations Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) and Nature Society Singapore (NSS) are partnering to organise a joint programme that brings together strategic sustainability frameworks with real-world environmental experiences.

This joint programme comprises a one-day Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) workshop with UNGCNS, followed by a 5D/4N transformative Eco-Journey to Sepetang with NSS. This is designed specifically for senior leaders to move beyond compliance and leverage nature-related data for long-term resilience and competitive differentiation, as well as to deepen environmental understanding, foster meaningful connections, and strengthen sense of stewardship towards our natural environment.

While the TNFD intensive equips participants with an understanding of overarching systems, reporting frameworks, and nature-related risks and opportunities, the Eco-Journey plays a central role in grounding these concepts in real-life contexts and communities, providing practical insights for leadership and decision-making.

As the global economy shifts toward “nature-positivity,” the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has emerged as the gold standard for managing environmental dependencies. Learn to identify, assess, manage, and disclose nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities. Move your team from a “do no harm” mindset to a “nature-resillient” strategy, ensuring your organisation is prepared for the incoming wave of mandatory reporting and investor scrutiny.
