Are you passionate about wildlife conservation, birds and love a good laugh? Join us for an inspiring sharing session by Rohan Chakravarty, the artist behind Green Humour, a comic series that blends art, humour, and environmental advocacy! From endangered species, including our very own Straw-headed Bulbul, to climate change, Rohan’s cartoons tell conservation stories in a fun and engaging way, including many issues on wildlife conservation in Asia that is surely close to heart for many.

This session will be jointly hosted by the Nature Society and BirdLife International.

Discover how art and cartoon can drive meaningful conversations around protecting our planet! Perfect for aspiring artists, nature lovers, and eco-warriors alike.

Speaker Profile
Rohan Chakravarty is a cartoonist, illustrator and the creator of Green Humour, a series of cartoons, comics and illustrations on wildlife and nature conservation. Cartoons from Green Humour appear periodically in newspaper columns, magazines and journals. Illustrations from Green Humour have been used for several projects and campaigns on wildlife awareness and climate change. Rohan is also the author of nine books (including the Penguin publications ‘Green Humour for a Greying Planet’, ‘Naturalist Ruddy’, and ‘Sea Ice Now You Don’t’) and has won awards by UNDP, Sanctuary Asia, WWF International, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Bangalore Literature Festival for his work. He is notorious for rolling up into a ball like a pangolin to avoid answering the phone or meeting people.
